I understand that starting the process of creating a website might seem intimidating and quite complicated. Lines of code, programming, weird words like backend, grids, responsive design… It feels like too much!

How does web building look like?
First of all, if you decide to work with me, there is something you need to know: I am a certified UX/UI designer, not a developer. What does that mean? I create and design websites focused on the end user’s experience while navigating and reaching the site’s goal. Depending on the business, that goal could be a sale, a contact form or creating an account to mention a few examples.
And how do I build a functional and ready-to-use website? With web builders such as Squarespace, Shopify, Wordpress, Wix, Readymag, Webflow or Framer. If you haven’t heard of web builders, let me tell you their advantages!

Most small business who need a website don’t need complicated sites that require a developer. Web builders are meant to speed up the process without the need to code, making the delivery of a functional website faster. They take care of the code so web designers like me can focus on what matters to the end user.
Something that would scare anybody who needs a website is its maintenance: links not working properly, content that has to be deleted or modified… You will always need a developer to do all of that for you. But not with web builders! Even though some are more intuitive to use than others, they are quite easy to navigate once the website is built to do changes without a developer or even without a web designer! They will give you autonomy once you get used to their interface, and I will make sure to show you around on an offboading session once your website is finished!

Let’s be honest, a lot of businesses don’t have websites because it is an expensive investment, especially at the beginning. What is not included?
Brand Design
You will have to provide your brand elements such as logo, typography, colour palette and other graphics your brand may have to be implemented. If you don’t have a brand, I have the perfect solution: a brand design + website package! Check it out here!
Copy
The copy -aka text- for all text blocks needed on a website is not included and you will need to provide it. If you can’t write it, I could hire a professional copywriter and add that extra to the final budget.
Photographs
If your business sells products or you want to have a personal website, you will need professional photos to add. You could provide them at the beginning of the project alongside the copy and brand elements. I am also a product photographer and we could add that service to the budget as an extra. SEO
While I will make sure the images are optimised and the headings and text SEO-friendly, I do not provide this service to position the website on search engines.
